A Merry Mouse House materials kit - physical kit to make a small cardboard mouse house

$40.00
Sold Out

I'm so excited to share this make-along and the accompanying kit of materials with you - I've created some little commemoration of Clement Moore's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" for many years now and this year I'm sharing with you how to make this cardboard mouse house.

I know many of us are already feeling stretched thin with all the holiday extras and many of us over-commit or over-intend during this time (I certainly do 🙄) but I do really hope that if it's at all possible, you find some time this season to do some things that really bring you joy.. maybe that's baking or designing an amazing Christmas letter or going all out with your tree decorating or maybe you, like me, would love to spend an afternoon making a tiny house for a mouse 😅🥰

Something about this little house really takes me back to childhood picture books.. maybe it reminds me of some of my favorite pop-up books..

This kit includes

- all the printed paper elements you'll need (I'll include two copies each of the wallpaper and the sheet of mouse elements)

  • One small gift box for the house

  • All the fiberboard you'll need for one house

  • Wire for hanging

  • Paper coated wire for the parakeet perch

  • One small battery operated LED light

- you will also need scissors, glue, tape, and acrylic craft paint or gouache or watercolor... optional materials: glitter or mica flakes, metallic craft paint, or fabric..

I hope you enjoy spending a cozy few hours crafting with me and I hope you enjoy your mouse house for many years 🤎

A note about the wallpaper: I did not design this originally as a seamless pattern so it does have very visible seams and my pattern is FAR from perfect!! This is very naive style wallpaper and I think it looks charming in a small house but if you're looking for a perfect pattern I would look elsewhere for that!

Thanks very much for supporting my art and the Sweet Haven animals, all sales of my art go to the sanctuary. 🤎
