A little ode to my grandma and her pies and her house (Grandma passed away last spring and her house is being demolished next month) - so I wanted to create something that would honor all those things.

It's long been my dream to write and illustrate books so this was a fun way to dip my toe into storytelling . .. I know this is a personal project but I've found from many years of writing to you that oftentimes the personal speaks to shared experiences and I hope this short work will resonate with many of you.

This book is a collection of small ink and gouache illustrations, the color palette is inspired by a beautiful piece of wallpaper from one of the bedroom closets of my grandma’s house. I've aged the paper to resemble the pages of my grandma’s well-thumbed cookbooks.
